TIME-GEL

PROTOCOLS
& SIMULATORS

Protocols plan a real measurement. Simulators show what a model would output. Application notes carry the method elsewhere. Each is labelled.

04.01 // THREE KINDS

What lives here, and what it is not

Three kinds of pages live on this bench. They are kept apart on purpose, because they make different kinds of claims.

PROTOCOL

A planned measurement

Says what will be measured, how, and what result would count against the theory. Written before any data.

Not a result. No protocol here has been run yet.

SIMULATOR

A model you can move

Shows what the model would output if its assumptions were true, so you can see what a protocol can and cannot detect.

Not evidence. Model output is never an observation.

APPLICATION NOTE

The method in another field

Carries Time-Gel's way of asking a question into another science, keeping that science's own explanations.

Does not test Time-Gel.

Protocols

PROTOCOL

Ice clock: Information Looking for Its Owner

Supercooled water at −10 °C freezes at a moment nobody chooses. Does a clock inside it slow down, and is it responding to the change or to the ice that results? An entropy-matched control (B2) separates the two readings.

PROTOCOL

Flame: Information Leaving Its Owner

Does local entropy production shift transition frequencies? Inside a flame's reaction zone, measured against an outside reference, Time-Gel predicts the same red shift on every line of every molecule. It asks the ice clock's question where entropy production is thousands of times larger.

04.03 // SIMULATORS

Simulators

SIMULATOR

Flame clock live

Reaction zone, an entropy-matched control without reaction, and burnt gas. A laser line is compared with a cold reference cell; the shift is drawn to scale when it is large enough to see.

SIMULATOR

Ice clock live

Three rooms side by side: water freezing, a heater with the same heat, a heater with the same entropy. Crystals grow, clocks drift, magnified so you can see them.

SIMULATOR

DNA repair live

Searchers walk the strand, verifiers burn ATP, wrong cuts and right cuts are counted. Arms A–D and the TC/GG routes from the DNA repair note. Does not test Time-Gel.

SIMULATOR

Ice clock simulator

Freezing cell A against heat-matched B1 and entropy-matched B2, under the rate and stock readings. Companion to the ice clock protocol.

SIMULATOR

Record rooms: H1 against H2

A hot gas and a growing crystal side by side. Which room's clock slows depends on which hypothesis you choose.

SIMULATOR

Live model: Model C

The flow law, the memory field and the structure threshold running together, with real relativity numbers beside them.

SIMULATOR

Model Lab v4

Conditions A–F, O/R parameters, live plots and CSV output for computational testing.

Application notes

APPLICATION NOTE

DNA repair: what it costs to find the owner

The ice clock's question carried into nucleotide excision repair, the field of Aziz Sancar's Nobel-winning work. The core control becomes repair proteins burning ATP on undamaged DNA.

v1.0 · 28 October 2026 · includes a first look at public Damage-seq data

Biophysics question, not a Time-Gel test.
